psorophora_feroxCommonly referred to as the "White-footed mosquito". It is easily distinguished by its white "feet". It is another wooded species that is predominately found in the northern parts of the county including Santa Fe, Friendswood, and League City. 

Larval habitat: Breeds in grass fields, ground pools and wooded areas. 

Adult habitat: Prefers wooded areas and yards with shrubs.

Biting activity: It is a fierce biter and will bite anytime during the day when disturbed.

Flight range: 1-2 miles
