Judge HenryFirst elected in 2010, Judge Henry is the 28th County Judge in Galveston County history, dating back to 1838 and is only the 5th County Judge since World War II. Since being elected, Judge Henry has cut the county’s tax rate every year he’s been in office totaling a reduction of 45.7% while paying off 53.8% of the bonded debt.

As a 21-year Air Force Veteran, Judge Henry is very committed to veteran issues and in 2013 created, at that time, the only all-veteran staffed Veterans Treatment Court in the United States. The court serves as a diversion program for veterans who need help with service connected illnesses rather than putting them through the criminal justice system. As a result, the Texas Veterans Commission named Judge Henry as “one of the greatest veteran advocates in the whole State of Texas.” During his 21 years in the Air Force, he served in the Classified arena of Space Operations and taught at various military colleges throughout the U.S.

Judge Henry is a fifth generation Texan, born and raised in the Houston area, and a graduate of the University of Houston. He’s owned an aircraft parts business in Galveston County since 1995 and is an authorized seller to the U.S. Government.

Judge Henry is now in his fourth term as County Judge and resides in League City with his wife Amy and their soon-to-be 8-year-old twin daughters, Brinkley & Hartley. He is a father of 5 and his 3 adult-aged children, Austin, Taylor, and Jessi, live in the greater Houston area.
