Culex salinariusCan be found year round but are usually found during the colder months. They replace Culex quinquefasciatus as the dominant Culex species during the winter.   

Larval habitat: They breed in fresh or foul water including salt marshes, ditches, retention ponds, detention ponds, and ground pools.

Adult habitat: marshes, yards, and wooded areas

Biting activity: dusk and dawn

Flight range: 1-5 miles
