Our focus as the "Purchasing Department" is to purchase all supplies, materials, and equipment required, contract for all repairs to property used by the County, and to request competitive bids and proposals as required by law.

Our interest is in protecting the welfare of the Galveston County taxpayers without regard to undue influence or political pressures and to account for all County assets by effectively managing a fixed asset system. We intend to accomplish our mission through cooperative team interaction and continuous quality improvement in order to support the overall goals of every department within the jurisdiction of the County of Galveston.
