It is the responsibility of the Department to document and report to the Texas Juvenile Justice Department within 24 hours, the death, attempted suicide, escape and any serious injury including youth on youth assault that requires medical treatment by a physician or physician’s assistant that occurs within a facility. It is important to note, any employee, volunteer, intern of a facility shall report to the Commission and local law enforcement any allegations of abuse, exploitation, or neglect of a resident that occurs in or involves an employee, volunteer, or intern of the Galveston County Juvenile Justice Department.

The Galveston County Juvenile Justice Department has ZERO tolerance for criminal behavior.  If you have information regarding abuse, neglect or any other illegal activity, please call the following number immediately:
