eFileTexas logoPursuant to the Amended Order Requiring Electronic Filing In Certain Court, which was entered by the Supreme Court of Texas on June 24, 2013, all civil and family filings in Galveston County are ordered to be filed electronically beginning July 1, 2014. In support of the Supreme Court Mandate, the Office of Court Administration (OCA) is transitioning from the existing Texas.gov portal to a new statewide portal called TexFile.

In an effort to make this transition fluid, our office will be simultaneously accepting eFilings via the TexFile portal and Texas.gov until November 30, 2013. We strongly encourage filers to start using one of the Electronic Service Providers (EFSP) certified by the OCA to accept filings through the TexFile portal prior to that date. This will allow my office to assist with any technical problems that may arise as Texas.gov will cease to exist after November 30, 2013.
