Mission Statement

To efficiently manage, monitor, and maintain the County of Galveston’s fleet of vehicles and equipment by providing our departments with safe, reliable, economically and environmentally sound transportation. 

Description of Services

The Galveston County Fleet Department provides routine maintenance and repairs to county vehicles and equipment. The Fleet Department is responsible for the security, maintenance, and stocking of three fueling facilities and assists in vehicle replacement plans.

Goals & Objectives

• Provide the highest level of customer service by occupying the new shop facility that allows for increased shop turn-around by servicing more assets at a time.
• Provide the highest level of quality control, quality of maintenance and repairs performed while controlling costs to extend the life of the Fleet.
• Implement upgraded telematic software that allows improved data collection for all tracked assets.
